The Title may be a little misleading, Im not even that old.
I met a fellow through a friend about 10 yrs ago, and he had a 32 Tudor that he bought in 1960 just after high school.
He was working on it a little here and there and almost had the chassis done.
He just sold his house and is moving into town for his retirement.
He doesnt have a shop or anywhere to keep his 32, so he contacted me and my Dad and I bought a bunch of parts and new steel etc.
    AND .......
He didnt want to do it, but we struck up a deal on the 32, just got it home yesterday in pieces, today I bolted it all together to store it for a while, there are a few cars ahead of it now, so it will have to wait.

Here are a few pics I took today.

That's an unusual looking front axle. Was it fabricated?

You know you have always been so impatient!! Congratulations. I like those Tudors.

    Nice.

  8. It's amazing how many of these cars are coming out of the woodwork..

Sadly,, many are from guys who died or are going into nursing homes etc-many owned these cars for decades.

My brothers neighbor died last year, 78 years old and none of his kids wanted his rods..all are gone now including his beloved '33 which he had since the late 60's...dispursed to the wind.

Beautiful. Looks like no rot to deal with.
Hell, that car was only 28 years old when he bought it. Would be the equivalent to buying a 1985 model car today.

I wouldn't know what to do with a car like that. I'd probably pour a box of table salt into each door bottom, quarter bottom and cowl..... then turn the lawn sprinkler on it for a month while giving it baseball bat love taps. Then at least it would look like all my other project cars. Congrats Kelly. You always seem to sniff out the good stuff.

Interesting factoid..... daughter #1 gets married tomorrow..... I'm not allowed to wear a car T-shirt. Can you imagine me not wearing a car shirt??

The fellow that I got it from had some sort of welding business, so he fabbed up a home made twin I beam front susp with small coil overs. It is a very cool set up, but I dont know if I want to use it or not???
I like the old beam axle set up myself. ALSO, IT HAD A SMALL BLOCK CHEV IN IT, BUT I THINK A FLATHEAD WOULD BE A LITTLE BIT BETTER.

Congrats Daryl, you know you are getting old when your kids start getting married, Im happy for you guys.

Yes Steve, we will be at Deuce day in my Dads truck again, hope to see you.

The 32 sedan is the best body I have had, very minor dents, and the only rust is in a wheel well. Needs a little floor work, someone cut a secret hiding spot in it.

    Hey man, circle of ridding.
We're caretakers. Otherwise the next Gen would keep hotting up jap shit and plastic cars.....

I'm 44 and if my daughters don't want to do burnouts in my hotrods, then someone thankfully will.

OP- that's one he'll of a score man. Exactly what I'm looking for to stash away til the 58 is done....good on you man!
