Long time drag racer, now I'm more into helping my dad with his cars. He'll be 84 soon so I sold my home and moved in with him to take care of him. Mopar seems to be a dirty word here so bear with me. He and I have several but I'm unsure if these cars would be interesting to the folks here. I hope they will be. 1957 Chrysler Saratoga This car is the reason I've joined HAMB. Hopefully I'll get some good imput on how to redo this car. This will be my 3rd version of this car. Anyhow, It's good to be here and I look forward to meeting you folks.
Where in North AL? I'm in Madison and there are quite a few HAMBers in this area. WELCOME to the H.A.M.B. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I'm in Huntsville. I have a friend in Madison that is a Willis guy from way back. I've got to go work on my '50 Ply but I'll be back on later this evening.
Yes your car is very intersting.. Lots of HEMI groups here..Their are a lot of mopar folks on the hamb. Welcome from your neighbor on the corner of Kelley Slave Cemetary road and mlk jr blvd AKA Hwy 255...
k9racer, There was a time years ago, that you and I were neighbors. I lived on KellyCem in the mid 80's. You know Roger B ? This is the interior of the '57. It's been ~12yrs since I've worked on this car. I started a redo then I met a gal with big thingies and I awoke 12yrs later only to find that my '57 had not redone itself. She said I had to choose between her and my car so I chose.
Thanks for that thought. My dad understood the importance of having a hot rod. In high school my car was a 1971 Barracuda 318, but he felt sorry for me so on my date nights he let me use his 1969 Charger R/T. It was red with a black top, 440 mag with black leather pw/w, pw/seats, cruise, mag 500's, and all that other stuff. I had it rough. This is his 1958 Imperial that I'm almost finished with. He loves it. I got this thang about Hemi's.
