el bumpo grande, just got back frm estes park myself, glad no fires were on then but they have one now on the west side of the park, started by lightning, hate that !

Doing good in south Colorado Springs. Just heard on the news that yet another fire is just north of Cripple Creek. That's 5 and it's only the second week of June. I was heading to Goodguys this time last year when Ft. Collins was on fire. Come on Lord give us a little of Noah's weather.

 

Nice folks and nice cars in Black Forest. Hope all take care.

 

AMAZING the smoke haze going on here in Denver. Have room for maybe 4 cars at my place if its needed. hell even some tent space if you wanna back yard it out.

 

I am ready this year. Bought a new 8" drop hitch so the bar will be alot flatter.

 

I'm a few miles east of choptvan. I've got friends from the evac area staying with me for a few days. Chickens in the back of the pickup, a goat in the dog pen, plus the humans. They went to their house today, the fire's only a couple of miles away. Another friend got out last night with the two daily drivers and the dogs. We don't know the status of the house, or the 14 car garage. We had the trailer ready to go to help them get out when they said don't bother, you won't get here in time. We're expecting the worst. Lot's of car guys in that area, we're hoping they could get home in time to pack, but some never got home before the house went up. Some never got home to get their pets out. Very sad.

I hope you make out OK. I've been standing with the water hose soaking the trees while the helicopters were going overhead dropping buckets 100 yards away. It made me cut in a serious fire break around our house after that one.

good guys thinking about others

 

My aunt and uncle live in Black Forest. They're fine, as they spend the summers at a cabin just over the border, north of MN, but they have no idea if their house is still standing.

I know this sounds corny....but I am a bird owner and can help house a few if anyone needs it. I am more than happy to watch and take care of them for you. I know cars aren't the top priority right now...but pets are right at the top of the list.
