A sign of the times you could put your name on a key, today if you lose your keys with your name on them you'll lose your car too! nice score

Certain folks say, "Just put a 2X4 on the rear quarter, "close" the lid down till it fits!"

You might want to break some (spot?) welds in order to shape it to match. Looking good!

this thing fits pretty well for a car that was a rotted heap

    thanks manny and shane

still some tweaking to do to the right lower corner and the top left corner of the body where the old decklid was mangled in a previous effort to remove it before i got it !

Bringing back this earlier post as I just found this great thread. Thanks for showing us, Flop!
Got a question: As the lower bell in the pic has a panhard bar attached to it, I suppose it's from a '42-'48? I am asking because that's what I have lying around but have heard that they may a bit too wide for a Model A.

  18. Great thread don't know how I missed this

Hi Chrisman, the 42-48 rear ends are approx 1.5" wider than the earlier ones, only really a problem if you are running fenders.

took some brackets off the back and am very surprised how close this is to fitting . even the 35 ford steering column practically bolts up !
