No idea at all...but it looks like it would be easy to adapt to an A or B by shortening the shaft and milling it to a drive tab and adjusting the shank to diameter of B distributor.

Thanks Bruce- I was told it's possible, by a few different people. That might be what I'll end up doing. I sent some pics to H&H and they thought it could have been used for an old Cosworth.

Looks to me like it might be an external-driven magneto. is that a keyed shaft with a nut to hold a pulley in place? Then you'd just have a piece of slit tubing to pinch the dark part of the base and run a belt to the crank or whatever, i've seen deisel turbo tractors coverted to alcohol and sparkplug/magneto ignitions clamp the magneto to the head and let them hang out over the front of the engine to be driven.

I was told Vertex was bought by Taylor. I called Taylor an they don't have a lot of records from Vertex because at some point their building caught on fire and documents were lost.

Make sure the rotation is correct for your application. They will spark going backwards but the internals are directional.

Thanks- Yeah, if I am not mistaken the rotation is different for VW's, etc.
