I have a '58 Chrysler 300 D which was one of the 21 or so that was equipped with the Bendix Electrojector EFI system. These were recalled, and the majority of the cars refitted with twin four barrel carburetors.
The 392 turns over still, but hasn't run in years. This is a future restoration project.

Hate to bust your balls DESOTO!!
I don't know how you could see the exhaust ports or the intake ports on the pictures I posted any way and make a comment like there tiny.
Numbers on the hemi C541-8-6010 and a picture of the tiny exhaust ports! I know the person that pulled the engine and it came from a Chrysler New Yorker Wagon 1954, from what I understand is that they put 4 barrel intakes on in 54 also!!!
Not all engines were made without the extended bell housing. I have done my homework on this.

I have a couple, one 354 Chrysler on my stand and one 276 DeSoto cleaned, in boxes...
DeSoto is just right for my '27 T Touring, looks so right. (it'll be 290 when cleaned up, and some compression)

It's the old story, "yeah I've got a bunch. Did you say you were looking for a 392?" Not exactly any Chrysler without extended bell housing will do. "We'll good cause you can't have one, I'll sell you a 331, let me get the parts together" thank you sir, any idea on price? " yeah ill get back to you once I've got it together" ... Some moths ago, patiently waiting

About to pick up a 392 for my F100.

  20. Those are water cooled aluminum manifolds for marine applications.
Manufacture is Nicson and they made a bunch of cool boat stuff. They live a short life without water cooling.

Some of the boat parts found their way into racing applications. Cam drive timing covers and pumps is probably the most common.

Oh yea, another 1955 331 couple weeks ago.

I have a 57 392 in a project. Dual quad intake, I'm told it came from a '57 Chrysler 300 that was wrecked in Atlanta in 1959.
