Who doesn't love a Swap Meet! Spaces at the Hunnert Car Heads Up are $20 for a 10x10 (plus general admission).

I posted the Heads Up/Meltdown waterslide decal on my Django Studios and HCHU Facebook pages last week. Maybe I should save them for the Friday art show?

Tshirt art has been sent to Marcy as well. I'm pretty happy with it.

Here is the waterslide decal that racers get at our event. Racers who also attend the Meltdown Drags get the second half!

The weather should be in our favor so the racing action should be fast, I'll be there

  9. What is going on sunday. I heard there is a seperate gasser race. If so what are the rules and classes.

  10. That depends on the car count...first year event so we will play it by ear...most importantly will be to get everyone to run...

  11. a little heads up for the weekend. i just got word the original tom coward tom catter comet will be there both days. this a original 427 4-speed car. perfectly restored. original photos will also be displayed. this is the first public showing since last raced in 1966. less that 20 were made i have been told.

I'm shooting to make it for some spectating. Unfortunately, the "Abomination" Henry J won't make it this year. It is still recovering from a cracked cylinder head.

Thanks! We ordered more larger sizes this year, but they always go really fast. I wouldn't procrastinate on getting to our tent for that.

On Friday, the gates open at 3pm. The track will open between 4-5pm depending on the number of cars. The first band, Esme and Plum Crazy start at 7pm followed by Crazy Rocket Fuel at 9pm.

On Saturday, the gates open at 8am but the track opens later. At 7pm The Dyes play and at 9pm, Hillbilly Idle plays. Sunday, gates at 9am for the Gasser Nationals North.

  25. Best of luck to everyone who attends the event. Again this weekend
conflicts with the NHRA Div#3 Race at Joliet, Il. I hoped go this year,
but we are running the Henry J in Top Sportsman at Joliet.
Hope the weather is good for all of us.
