1958 Chevrolet Nomad "Frost Bite" Patina Rod

    Glenway was on the west side of Cincinnati. They were a Chevrolet dealer from the teens up until the GM restructuring of 2008, now they are a large general repair shop. Cool wagon!

    Yes, I read about them the day I bought the car. Pretty cool history on the dealer. I heard they shut down in 2010 or 09.

    58's look good with either wide whites or pinners not many cars can pull that off.

    Not to say that the OP's 58 isn't nice because I wouldn't mind having one myself but true Nomads are 2 doors with a styling all on it's own, set apart from other wagons. From 58 onwards, Nomad wagons were just a standard wagon with the name Nomad tacked on. They didn't have that distinct "Nomad" styling. The Nomad name was also used on Chevelle wagons and Vega wagons. Again, just a Nomad in name only.

    I agree with you for the most part on the tri-fives in a league of their own but the 58 model featured Impala moldings, roof garnish stainless and the tailgate signature vertical stainless bars make it unique on its own as no other model brandished these features. Would love to have me a 56!!!!

    I agree on the 58 Models that is why aside from the Tri-Fives, I also like the 58 Nomads and at least they still have the nerf or banana bars on the tailgate.

    Often rode to high school with a friend that had a 58 Nomad - 348, Turboglide, holes in the floorboards, bad exhaust - it's a wonder we didn't die. He paid $50 for it in 1967.

    This is badass! I'd much rather see a vehicles original paint preserved, than stripped back and re-sprayed.

    did you rebuild the olds motor? Is it a 70's 350? I put one in my brother's oldsmobile, junkyard guy says you'll be surprised how good of motor it is. It was $350 and he drove it trouble free for 10 years. 1976 model
