My friends 32 is making noise. He is sure its coming from the rear end, so it has to be fixed. He doesn't know what it is and neither do I. Aluminum center section with steel axle tubes. I believe he said it is a 12 bolt. Dig the cheezy fake cover.

I told him it probably had something to do with the Keith Black blower motor he has in it. :D He agreed.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  2. Looks like an olds w 27 rear cover , if it's an olds w 27 rear could be a rare piece

  3. Also will bring really good money. I'm sure someone would gladly trade you a 9inch for it.

If the housing is aluminum and has steel axle tubes pressed in then your "cheesy" rear end is from a 442 Olds and is pretty rare. :D:D Look up W 27 rears in Google.

Well, an hour with Google and I see there are times when cheezy is not cheezy.
Maybe he will want to trade me for a 9 inch. LOL

Thanks everybody, once again you have solved a problem for me.
