Hi all, I have been lurking here for several months. I am working on a 1933 Ford 5w Coupe. It was my grandfather's car. He was the second owner and purchased the car in 1956. I got the car March 23 2012 and have spent the last year getting the flathead running and rebuilding the original transmission. I am building this car stock out of respect for my grandfather. I have some panels to replace and such and have picked up alot of info here so far. I have enjoyed the hamb and all of the skill on display here. Man you guys are good! Thanks for letting me hang out! Brad
Welcome to our domain!! By chance----I need a 1932 Louisiana license plate for a wall hanger---Any condition as long as you can still read it---NOT for restoring. Thanks,---Don
My plan is to get it back on the road as close as possible to the way Henry built it. I may eventually put juice brakes, drop axles, T5 tranny etc... Or I may leave it and go get another project to have fun with. We will see... Right now my focus is the body and the panels that need to be replaced. I have to find a good metal guy, or learn to do it myself, which I like to do. I'll keep my eye out for the License plate Don. All the ones I have are out of Missouri and I don't have a 32.
I bet your grandfather would not mind a few tweaks here and there, how about semi stock..maybe do a nice exhaust etc Anyways, welcome and good luck with your project!
I taught myself bodywork to make all the patch panels I needed for my T body. Also there is a junk yard here in town and I know he has lots of 33 parts but he is a grumpy hoarder that won't let anything go for a sensible price.
