Met a cool old timer who told me he wanted to show me an old car he wants to sell, didn't realize what i was in for.Figured i'd share. 51 Mercury convertible he had built years ago and a 30 roadster that he built in the 50's when he was in high school for shop class.
Yes, pretty cool he still has them after all this time. He said the roadster was put on a 40 ford frame that was sitting around, dropped axle up front..

Wow, that Mercury is really cool, especially the continental kit. I like the way the roadster is built, old school.
Looks like the Coupester has a 40ish frame... wonder what mods he had to do to make that work. Great job for a High school student and a hell of a lot of work! Notice the molded in rear fenders mounted above the reveal for the channel and the front fenders were made from later model Ford 35-37 spare tire continental kits
I like the chrome dash on the Merc but it would be a killer with the top down and the sun at your back Fit and finish looks great.
