I found a 70's jaguar at the junkyard today with a sbc in it.
I noticed it had the small pad for the ID number so I wrote the suffix down to see what it was.

The suffix code is CKT, my list shows that it's a 1972 350 LT-1 from a z28 camaro.

Is the 72 LT-1 anything like the 70?

Is it worth getting?, are the heads any good?
I have know idea if it's junk, or if the heads are even original.

  2. Doesn't the suffix code give a HP rating ... that should speak volumes.

CKT is a 72 LT1 (auto) according to my info. Not quite as good as the 70, but a good motor to grab. 72 was a hydraulic, lower compression version of the 70 LT1. 255 hp for 1972 Vs 370 hp in 1970 (vette). Pull a valve cover if you can, should have screw in studs and guide plates if the heads are original 2.02 >>>good find either way..

Can you post that list for the 70 and 71?

When I can get back over there I'll pull the valve cover and see.
It has ram horn manifolds on it now, but they may have just used them for clearance.
