Has anyone ever used Show Stopper wax or Rat Wax? Just curious how they compare to Meguiars, Mothers, etc.

Or if there were any other smaller brands of note?

    Thank you

Meguiars. Everything else is sand paper. You Zymol to polish and Meguiars to protect. Wax protects. Polish shines.

I wish Meguiars still sold their Competition Wax that they sold in the late 60's and early 70's. That stuff shined and made the car slicker than snot. I had some dumb shit jump up on my fender and slide off on the ground once because it was so slick.

Thank you gentlemen! Appreciate the good humor as well! Meguiars is what I usually use, didn't know if there were any new games in town that had a good product to try...so I'll just stick to the original stuff!

  17. No wax any more, just Wizards products. Mist N Shine is far easier and IMHO way better than wax.

I agree with Tman on this one, I am convert, was a diehard Meguires fan until I was introduced to Wizards, far better product. MG is still a great product, but once you try Wizards you will see the difference.

I'm also a recent convert to Wizard products. The spray wax is awesome!

Wax? I'd have to wash first. Maybe next year.

We pretty much use the Mequiars line on everything. I have been using their Tech 2.0 wax on my satin finish and it has done wonders keeping it spot free. Even if I drip gas on it when refilling it cleans off. Their detailer is also really good for in between times.

I last washed the '32 10 years ago this summer (working on a 25 year barn find patina finish) so wax product manufacturers are NOT enhancing their retirement accounts with any contributions from me.:)

3M imperial hand glaze all tho it says it contains no wax or silicone. It only holds up for about a month.

I use Meguiars.... Ultimate.... Its expensive, but it keeps my stuff shiney even after a rain.... I use white claybar twice a year.... before the waxings.

I also use meguiars car wash as well. Its important not to use dish soap. SInce car wash is PH balanced, and wont leave that god awfull haze on dark colors...
