Thought I'd share with you folks.I just returned from a months vacation in France 2 wks ago.In the village in the south of France here sits an original 32 Ford roadster nearly unmolested.Still had the orig 32 V8 in it and it ran great. It was less then a mile from where I was staying. How I found out about it was the neighbor and I were making small talk(lucky I speak French) as to where I was from and then got talking about interests etc.Told him I loved early Fords and he said that there was a roadster nearby. He arranged for me to see it.To bad its NFS.

What are those swoopie black things over the tires? Are they a French mudflap option? And how come it only has 1 carb?

Very nice. It's probably a good thing for that car it is over in France. If it were in the States, it'd surely be a hot (or street) rod by now.

32 & 33 only had a 1bbl carb. The original Detroit Lubricator Carb was replace by a Solex.Where do you see mud flaps? Those are the original 32 fenders on that car.Body is totally unaltered.

The V8s had side pans too? Thought only the Model Bs had those...

  16. My 32 V-8 was build in France and came with a Solex one barrel 2 bolts carb from the factory (different from the one on this roadster)

The roadster in the pics also has a European hood with raised louvres

I tried but he was 3rd owner and emotionally attached.I don't think he would want it to leave the country and It would if I had been able to buy it.I even thought of buying a small village house in France and then he might let it go.He's 76 and I might go back next year and take him some good Calif wine to persuade him + throw in my 36 5W or our new KIA Soul.My wife would love to live there(southern France) so we can sell our Hawaii home and buy there. She wants the bread, cheese and wine along with an old stone house.I just want the 32.See how easy real men are to please. We'd both be happy.Ha Ha

..... and that looks to me like a non-authentic variation of Henry's choices of blue. A little to bright to fit in with my soon to be Washington Blue tree winder kooop.

  30. I like the idea of buying the place in France...Let me know if you do and I will come visit you. I spent a few years in the Villafrance-sur mer area and loved every day of it. Sorry to say though I never found any deuces.
