Ford ranger A arm.what year? help.

    What year did ford stop putting I-beam in the ranger and go to "A"arm??
    looking to sub a 41 dodge WC 1/2 ton.
    (No I don't have a stock frame worth saving. but thanks for asking... :eek:)

    I'm pretty sure all the Edsel rangers had A arm suspension....

    off topic but 1998 they changed from twin traction beams to SLA suspension.

    1997 was the last year of I-beams, 1998 was the first A arm. 98 2wd used coil buckets and 4wd had torsion bars so different arms and spindles. Also the edge and eventually the sportrac(I think 2001) used 4wd arms with a different spindle.
