Customs Lowering a 52 Pontiac Cheifton

Can any of you Hambers help with info on lowering the front end on this car? Is the front suspension the same as a Chevy? Can we use dropped Chevy spindles? We would prefer not to cut the coils, but if that's the only way to go, we will. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Get the front coils reset lower at a reputable suspension/leaf spring business.
