smoke damage

    my car caught on fire , what is a good cleaner to clean engine apt, and bottom of hood? its a mess, can be fixed, thanks :confused:

    Oven cleaner? Works great on most icky parts. Did it heat enough to wrinkle the paint?

    Simple Green if it is not too bad. Hope it was a minor fire.

    yea, got the dist, wires, carb ,wireing harnmes, paint on hood, everthing close, :mad:

    Ugh... That sucks. I had to take apart lots of burnt engines. Prying and scraping the plastic and rubber bits off is such a pain. At least it's a real car and doesn't have a bunch of plastic covers and shit over the engine to melt down.

    Again, at least you came out unscathed!

    Purple Zep Industrial Degreaser from Home Depot is the best cleaner I've never used cheap @ $10/gal This stuff will cut will cut most anything. Used it to detail years old engine compartments spray on leave it 5 min and wash off amazing
