I just scored a set of wide whitewalls that are 7.60x15 and I'm trying to figure out how wide of a wheel I can get away with. Any help would be great! Thanks guys!

there are web sites that will list all dimensions of tires , and also do metric to inch conversions .

I would say anything between 4" and 6" would work. Maybe a little narrower or wider would work too.

Back in the day, cars that used tires that size rarely had wheels wider than 5 1/2",
    6 1/2" at most.

That said, you could probably use up to a 7" wheel and "get away with it". IMO, 6" would be a good fit.

I checked my tire guide and it looks like 6" to 7" would be what you would be looking for.

I had 7.60-15 on my 36 PU and I used 8" wide wheels worked great. This was before I went to radials Equivalent. Radials are the way to go. Using P255 70 R15 WW slightly smaller diameter but the same width. 36fordguy

We ran 7:60s and 8:20s on 5 or 5.5 wheels everyday back in the 50s-60s no big deal.
