The transformation of my Model A coupe...now fenderless!!!

    Pictures below...

Well, it started as a full-fendered, unchopped coupe with purple plug wires and chrome reverse wheels and whitewalls that were entirely too wide for the rear fenders. The proportions were not the best. The first change was removing anything that wasn't HAMB-friendly, then the stance and wheels/tires, and then I decided to chop it and was totally happy with my decision. I recently changed the water pumps and found a severely dangerous front crossmember, so I removed the front sheet metal to replace everything and just decided to hot rod the coupe and remove everything...except the side aprons. Here are some pics...I wish I had a photo when I first got the car.

Who's dancing around in the back there?? Haha.

Hard to say man...I really like it with fenders, but it looks pretty damn good now too...

Haha! I forgot my friend photo-bombed that shot. It looks like he's mini and dancing on the cowl! As for the fenders, all the parts are safely hanging in my garage...I can take a day and convert it back, but I'll drive it like this for the summer.

    I liked the fenders:(

  9. Interesting look with just the side aprons on there, works better than I thought it would. I'm all about fenderless hotrods, but those fenders look pretty nice on this one. Nice to have options. Either way is a winner.

Looks good. I'd lose the aprons, but it looks good.

It looked awesome with fenders. I dont get the idea of leaving the splash aprons on it

Either way, the car is bad A$$.... I say, make the fenders easy to take off, then go with what mood your in, or what event your goin to....

Long distance? puttum on.... Local hoodlum event, take-um off...

Yeah, I was flustered...but it all worked out! I'll probably put it's winter clothes back on in the fall. I like it both ways equally, just had to see what it looked like fenderless.

I'd also like to say how good that wheel combo is. Blackwalls on black wheels with baldies. Sweeeet.

I could see a custom rounded splash apron and a bobbed rear fender. Just sayin...

+1 I much prefer that one with the fenders but a size smaller rear tire might look better with them.

Well, I guess I'm lucky to have a car that I like AND looks good both ways. It'll be fun to have a fenderless hot rod for the summer.

  28. +1 for fenders!!!!!!

  29. Car looks bitchin either way, but if it were mine she'd be wearing fenders.

    Nice hot rod.
