Would anyone happen to know if this is based on a real shirt, or was this just something they made up? Either way, I think it's pretty cool.
According to NHRA they are. http://www.nhra.com/story/story.asp...-walmart-stores&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1
Thanks for posting, yes it does look like period correct art work. Of all the things to find at Wal Mart!
I got one of those at Target a few years back... I always see the "know it all" car guys wearing them at swap meets and shows... The Mrs uses it as a night gown now... Looks soo much better on her!
I wish they had a shirt for Fremont or Pamona. My dad used to hang out at the strips in that area around that time.
Aaron, they DO have them, a couple of Winternationals, and a Supernationals from Ontario, and some other ones, just not at our local store...I know a guy named Mason that could probably help you out...
I think they're discontinued. I could not find them on the wal mart website. So what's there is it, I'm assuming. I'll investigate the matter further.
Here you go. You can now take this and go out and find a place that will make low-volume image T-Shirts.
pretty sure a company called "nitroactive" sells all the vintage shirts like that and others you are mentioning they always have an add in HR Deluxe and I think car craft or some of the old "peterson" titles
They have a nice selection. Just cost 3x as much, without shipping... But I guess that's the difference between mass quantity and cheap overseas labor versus made-to-order American made products.
I bought one like that at Goodwill last month for 99 cents......thought I could not go wrong at that price...it is a cool shirt!!
All five styles of them look good. I wish they were available in the Canadian Walmart and Target stores!
