I've been slack on finishing this build thread so here's a few pic of the hammering out of the master cylinder cover.[IMG]

Another angle I did this because I used an aluminum master cylinder and that just won't get it on a period correct Gasser so I tried to hide it. [IMG]

  10. Cool piece, Quain. What did you have in mind for under the hood?

We're doing a "frozen snot" 36 Ford up pretty much the same way here at the school, so I'm keeping an eye on this one... ;)

Great build thread, thank you for sharing, I learned a lot, and some times it is just the seamingly simple things that prove to be the most enlightening.
Can you give some details on the small block, cubic inches, compression ratio, and I am curious what fuel are you running?
That thing sounds great in the videos!!!!! Small block and 4 speed, can't beat it.
    Thanks

The car has been finished for about a year some of my buddy's talked me into doing the build thread after it was finished. Anyway it has a 406 sbc with old school mechanical fuel injection there's a lot of videos on you tube of it some in car stuff that's cool.

It's a 406 sbc with 15 to 1 compression the pic in my avatar is of the engine compartment. I run C 14 racing fuel it runs and sounds better on alcohol but our rules won't allow that.

Here you go it's real simple just a 1/8' 4130 C/M plate bracket (3/16' if you use mild steel) with a bolt and bushing on the top and bottom of spring leave a little room between the 2 bushings and about 1/16' on the brackets for the spring to slide. if you are not going to use a pan hard bar you might want to brace the brackets from side to side. Note I drilled extra holes for ride height adjustment[IMG]

  18. Ha ha, I just went through this whole thread to see what you were running and here it is on the last page...lol The wheels up launch and half way down the track before settling down video from the Moonlighter thread had me wondering.

They will brake if you have much power

  26. You won't be doing this with a stock GM 4 speed transmission.

Quain is in the far lane. HRP
