this is my first time digging into something of this magnitude..I have an idea on what i want it to look like and with some help of old friends and some New HAMB friends IE "54Caddy and his dad" stand up couple of guys. But most of all Friend of mine Keith who runs a mobile restoration business..He has the metal skills and tools..I am more of a mechanical/electrical type.

I was going to go the traditional route but decided to go my route instead.
i will try and post pictures as I go along.Starting with a decent body that we chopped 3 inches going to do a mild channel 2 inches maybe? drop 4inches in front with a model A crossmember stuff a BB ford 460 and C6 transmission in and hope for the best.

    Starting with this.

Looks like you're off to a good start. The body really looks good, that'll save a lot of time and money on the build. Glad to see you're going to run a BBF, that'll wake up the neighbors. What tranny and rearend are you planning on? LOOKING GREAT!

Man I like your car if you go to wescotts tech section you can print out thier frame specs and I can tell you that the step for the rear wheels is correct but you will have to pull the rails in at the cowl about 3/4"more than shown then you can trim the inner sub rails on your body and it will channel the car 1'' over the frame just did it man does it look cool . We just bought another coupe at pate we are gonna build on duece rails also with a 429 scj and top loader. I have never used bb ford in any car please keep posting pics where I can watch !

You must have really steady hands if you can use a mig with one while holding a shield with the other! I have to steady my hands or run the risk of missing my precise target.

decided to flip firewall to make a little extra room to slide the 460 back to gain a few more inches up front so that radiator has plenty of room..

you might consider using a '57-59 Ford 9" housing with the round back and already narrow.
