A few weeks back I received a phone call out of the blue asking if I was free on such and such a date, and if i wanted to take photos of some dirt drags…….no need to ask me twice. The following week, the hand drawn invitation was in the post.

After the GPS sent me in the wrong direction, what I found was something i really didn’t quite expect. An old air strip in the middle of no where, a group of close friends and their rides…..The most perfect saturday afternoon I have had in a very long time.

The hospitality I was given was truly humbling. Not one ounce of bullshit.

    Massive thank you to everyone!

Looking at these pics plus the reports from Gaz etc makes me sorry that I couldn't make it. Looks like it was a great day.

    That looks so fun!

I bet it'd be feasible to set up dirt drags at one of the facilities that host mud races.... They're already insured, and the dirt trucks are as loud as any drag car....

The HR had a bit of a vibration in the rear on the way home. I think dusty dirt drags are a good way to finnish off a uni that's on it's way out.

Very Cool!! Looks like a real kick.
I notice that all the open wheeled cars had very minimal fenders on them. Is that a local or national requirement thing there?

Yeah it's a national law here you have to have fenders, think the official rule is the top rear third of the tyre must be covered

Angelo who owns it has a heap of super rare accessory stainless for the 36.
