wow, i remember this pretty girl where I used to work in City Of Industry, California back in 1978 needed a car and bought a co-worker's grandmothers 60-63 (?) Falcon 4-door wagon for $100, a few people laughed at the time, but a car for $100 to get around in back in 1978 was well worth it.. it was light blue and the body was fairly straight and would be nice to own today!

Had a '65 2dr wagon in high school in '69. Ditched the C4 for a 4sd. Had a cammed 289 with headers and a dual point dizzy. By my standards it screamed and there was as much room in the back as a van but her parents didn't have a shit fit when you showed to take her to the drive in. Sold it when Uncle Sam called and the guy I sold it to took out the rear quarter with a telephone pole. Really miss the car and the memories.

^^Love them both, That's pretty close to how I want my interior to look,
except my seats will be the other way around (more red than white).

Mine's far from finished but, t'is a 1963 XL (ignore the 1960 grille, it's going)...

Based on the debris behind the car, looks like it was parked. If I was home when something like that happened to one of my cars, there'd be a good chance the driver of the other car would leave the scene on a stretcher.

Yep, parked. I wasn't home and it's was a drunk 70 year old lady. My neighbors saw a red P.T. Cruiser hit it, back up and drive down the street to the luxury high rise condos at the other end of my street. the cops showed while I was still at lunch and wrote a hit and run report, and this is what I found. I knew of a red P.T. that belonged to a resident there that is an ALWAYS drunk guy that stopped by every now and then and wanted to talk cars. Iwalked down to the end of the street, talked to the staff and went down to the garage and there it was. Like the cops said, "pretty impressive detective work".

The good I hope will be a chunk of money, the Plymouth back to forced daily use and the Ranchero in the back yard accepting all the new stuff from the wagon.

You know I dig my Ranchero! At least you already have something to transfer those parts to! Plus they look cool with Minibikes in the bed! I'll send my 3 wrenchers to help! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1378857446.464177.jpg

Hey louvers, Here is the replacement for your little wagon. My 62 purple 2dr wagon is for sale. Hate to see yours mangled like that. My wagon has a 2001 GTP roller motor, Heits MII front end, c-4 trans. headers, 650 dp carb, ididit tilt column. flow master system, 3:55 mav. Comet 8" rear end, weld 15" alum. wheels. Very good glass and stainless trim. Very good and straight front and rear bumpers. Elec fuel pump, small tac. lacara steering wheel.

Thanks Falconeer, but I think I'm going to end up transferring all of the brand new stuff from the wagon to the Ranchero over the fall now that I can work again outside. The only big difference will be that it is going to get the five speed that I made up for the Ranchero initially instead of that damned automatic that I have been fighting with.

Here's a customers we did back in 73, it had a 302 at this point, then we put a tunnel rammed 289 4 speed in it and then around 79 we put a blown 351 Cleveland in it.It had a Diamond button interior (blue) the car is still intact minus the blown 351. I ended up with that and put it in my Ranchero. The wagon has a naturally asperated 351 Cleveland in it now and has been sitting in a garage for at least the last 15 years that I know of. I will post pictures when I can figure out how to get my scanner back up.

I love '63 Falcon 2-dr wagons. Looked for years for a 260-powered one; never found it.
