He is a swell guy without a title that he paid me for. I had hoped he would check in with me but haven't heard from him. Please bring this to the top if you cross this add till he finds me. Thanks Hamb! 1928 Ford Cpe title. Please Pm me privately if your the gent in question so I can get this too you. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
He may be one of those who checks the classifieds daily but never reads the HAMB it's self. I've run into a number of guys who do that.
I'd say you could certainly sell a "title" document. The illegality my come form trying to use it to title a vehicle that it was not originally intended for. That probably varies by state.
No it isn't.There are many people that are collectors of historical documents,Me included.I have over 100 in my collection and sometimes swap with other collectors for a rare document. Could the majority of them be used to register a car?Probably, but I sell/trade them only as historical documents, not to be used illegally.
I guess I should have stated that differently. You can sell a title if you call it a historical document. The law frowns on using it to title a car, but it's ok to collect them as historical documents.
Might be interesting if you ever try to sell it. Let's just say I wouldn't buy it from you if the title didn't match the car. And, while I agree that the DMV can be a royal pain, it's not a hornet's nest I care to poke too hard.
Great news! The owner has been found. I can rest my mind. Thank you hamb for all your help. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
