A buddy of mine had one of those painted charcol silver. He bracket raced it every weekend. Cool car! What are your plans?
It's a little rougher than I would have liked, but, the price was cheap enough, and that's how I'm rationalizing it!! Needs floors from the firewall, to right in front of the rear seat, no motor/trans, needs quarter panel patches, and rockers...the guy threw in the 8" wide Corvette Rally wheels, (that will be for sale shortly)...got if fairly cheap as far as the market goes for Tri-Five 2-door wagons, and, it has a clean title... Matt, not going to be on the road anytime soon...I've wanted one of these for a long time, so, this one is going to get done right...probably a body-off-the-frame deal... ...no gasser with this one, real low, with nice paint and interior...
I saw that car at Charlotte Auto Fair , decent start to a cool longroof , and from what I can recall , you prolly didn't have to break the bank to get it either , good deal!!!!
...Sqeaky, are you sure it's the same car you saw?...this one came form a little town about 40 minutes SW of Chicago...it had been sitting in a garage there for at least the last 4 years that I know of...
Cool Randy! Looks like you came over to the dark side... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=635978 Sam
Hahaha! Sam, I STARTED the dark side!!! I have 6 other '57's...3 two-door sedans, and 3 two door hardtop's! One of the hardtop's I bought when I was just 14, and I'm old now! I got my first '57, a 210 2-dr. sedan, when I was 12 years old! I've probably owned 40-50 Tri-Five's since then!!!
You should change your name to "THE Dark Side" ;D I have a '57... I wish I could trade it for a '55.... but it's growing on me! Sam
