I thought I'd share some pictures from an old car auction I attended last weekend in Pierce, Nebraska. I went up to try and buy the two 51 Mercs, but a phone bidder would not give up. I still had a great time, as I ran into my friend Bill (54delray), and meeting some great car people. I was disappointed to hear that there were scrap guys there, and they were buying several cars/trucks. I did have to laugh when they got outbid!! Here are my pictures.

Upper right hand corner of the '54 Belair picture, is that a Kaiser convertible? Did such a thing even exist? Very curious to know any more about that one.

    Neat pics, thanks for sharing.

Most sold between $300-$1200. The 28 dodge 3 window went for $8700. A 39 Chevy 2 door sedan went for $1200. 54 Chevy sold for $400. Don't you guys have any old cars in your neck of the wood?:)

No, It had it roof cut off. Someone was attempting to make a convertible. It was still cool looking.

I thought that was a really cool looking truck as well! You don't see a 39 Mack truck too often.

I was really surprised that a lot of the cars/trucks were pretty solid. It is kind of sandy dirt in that area of Nebraska. Maybe that helped preserve them.

Thanks for the info. Those prices sound right in line with what I'd expect around here.

I know one sold for like $900. The others I can't remember. I don't think the scrappers got them.
