I really like that especially the unique rear window.

Gotta like the thinking behind that orange coupe in reply #8o. It's neat. Any more pictures of it?

I was cruising thru this great thread, and found a picture of my dad's hot rod in post #66 above... Its' the blue model "A", and picture was taken back in early to mid 80's, according to him. This is the same car in my avatar, as it was featured on cover of Vintage Torque's rag.

I'm building a 33 5w coupe, and am considering doing a tribute build to dad's car by channeling and running sans fenders, boards, etc.

Do it! That is a great way to build a 33 five window, but then again, I am biased. Would be good to see some pics as you go along with the build. Good luck with it!

    ss34coupe,
I put a few pics in my intro a while back...Check out 'Long Time Listener, first time caller'... The frame was intended to channel the body about 3 1/2 to 4", but the x-member in it interfered with the floor pan when we dragged it out to take this pic, and I have not had a chance to make changes to it yet.. I will start a build thread when I get enough stuff going to make it worth while...

Great minds think alike...And fools seldom differ.:D I was just thinking the same thing, wonder if it really is Buick Condor Yellow? Small world if it is.

If you're asking me, I have no idea what the color was other than chartreuse.
In one old color photo I have it looks more yellow.

Here's a close up of some of that color that still exists on the door jams.

I talked to a few of the guys that knew the car and owner back in the day.
They all laughed about when he painted it that color.
One guy shook his head. "Never understood why he painted that car that color..."

  26. I know it's not but it reminds me of the factory color on my brothers '72 240z. I think it was simply called Lime.
