Today i got the change to buy a real nice ford for a real nice price , the man needed room cause he sold his garage so he was in a hurry.
I think it is 1940 but maybe someone can confirm.

The car was painted ,the engine was rebuild an changed to 12v, the seats had new upholstery an there is new carped. All this was done 10 years ago in Argentina and no pro job but it is ok for me, the paint job was a cheap one and not perfect ,and for the rest we will see.
The car was stored for the last 10 years.

Plans are to check everything and get a dutch title , i want to lower it some and just ride as it is ! this will be our family ride.

In the future build the steering to the left.

    I am real Happy !:)

I still own enough pieces to assemble another 40 pickup,...and if that happens,, it will be a right hand drive. Why ? Just because....

Two of the five 40's I've owned were 4doors---loved them. Way to go.

I can't wait to start work on the car but have to wait till saturday :( gonna be a long week.

A friend will come and help , we will try to clean the gas tank and carb and fuel lines and maybe we can try to start :)
I'm really exited to get it running but i want to be careful and will take the time to be sure everything is ok before we try.

I recall that I long time ago an old timer told me that pin was used to disperse the oil that invariably leaked from the rear main crank seal. I am a little fuzzy on this but I know it releated to dripping oil.

For someone who didn't know what he bought, you did well.
