Hi I'm a new member, names Nick, I was just wondering if anyone is going to the Back to the Fifties car show in St. Paul next month. I plan on driving my 56 Buick to the show.
It has been many years since my brother and I went to the Back to the Fifties all the way from Florida. It was worth it, it is a great experience. I wrote articles (Computer guy) for the MSRA newsletter back in the day. That was before my website had an actual site, I operated out of a Macintosh user group web server.
somewhere they have a HAMB meeting hope to attend it this year, was late last year but have met some of the outlaws who attend from the HAMB
I will be there don't look for the prius in the parking lot that I am borrowing from my sister in-law while i am up there.

Yes, I am going. Been there every year since about 1984. I will have the 4 door '50 Merc. My 2 door custom Merc isn't ready yet. Been helping my sons get their cars ready.
oh yeah, made it for 10-12 yrs now . Lots of stuff, almost too big . Bring your beverage, good shoes, and a comfortable lawn chair.
will be flying in from afghanistan on fri- be at the show on sat, swap meet sun...bring a camera and a gps cause you're bound to see something you wanna remember but will have a heck of a time locating once you walk off- they change locations every day...sooooo many times I wanted to go back and resee something that caught my eye but danged if I could ever find it again street signs and maps not withstanding
Wouldn't and haven't missed a show in near 40 years. Bring sunscreen and a umbrella, you will probably need both. Do yourself a favor and go more than one day if you can. Try not to see everything in one day, can't be done. Drive the grounds as much as possible, it's the best way to experience the Fifties.
Thanks for all the comments, I will be attending all 3 days of the show with my uncle, he will be driving a 1927 ford roadster, he is preregistered but I have not because I litteraly bought my 56 about two weeks ago off Craigslist. So I will need to register Friday morning and my uncle will save me a spot at the show. We have a shade tent and long chairs so I think we are set. I only have to do a few minor maintenance things to the Buick to get her all ready. Now it just needs to be June
The wife and I will be there. This will be my 13th and hopefully last year with the '51. Next year the Merc will go instead.
