so, after an exhausting search for someone to re-do the 3 holley 1904's on my girl's '55 ford inliner, i found somebody, well at least i thought i did... is there anyone that can re-do (hate to say re-build, because anybody can get a re-build kit from auto zone and throw it together) my carbs and actually test them after to sync. them with each other? the car is running and located in las vegas. thank you in advance.
What is a holley 1902? I do tons of carbs but still keep running into new ones, i am very familiar with the 1904 but not the 1902
You mean one like this? I can wet test but don't have motor to run them on, every motor is different so it is a moot test anyway.
My guru (8 years worth) is Dick York in Franklin, In. [email protected] I've never be disappointed. Carter, Rochester, Stromburg, Zenith and many more. He is sharp! Normbc9
What he said X3 Very happy with the carbs he rebuilt for me last year. Just bolted them on, set the idle, and the my car ran great.
isn't it great how when you're talking to people and doing research on a project, you come across someone that inspires confidence in you and you just know they're the right one for the job? thank you all for your input!
if you live in hell michigan you can try acme carb in dearborn been there since 1946 its right next to the ford rouge plant...the guy has the biggest pile of carbs in the world i should have took a picture...
I think, (because my Daddy told me,) being able to overhaul and tune one's own carburetors is the right of passage to the privilege of driving a car, and definitely to being a hotrodder!
i know, i know. my dad said the same thing. i just HATE carbs more than anything else! i'll even do all the wiring that everybody else thinks is a pain in the ass, but carbs really piss me off for some reason. maybe i just don't have the patience necessary to overhaul them myself. god i wish i could get some patience. ...and quick!
