Nice, but I'm just not digging the airburshed mural look of the photos. Guess, I am still rooted in traditional looking pictures.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep all your comments in mind while shooting my next event and provide a better mix of photos. Cincinnati Street Rod show is coming up this weekend so look for a new thread next week and let me know if I'm getting closer to what u like. But, you'll also still some of my favorites with my artistic flavor (HDR).
    Thanks guys!

Yeah, the comic book effect isn't HAMB appropriate.

For those that don't like the "comic book effect". Take a few seconds and really look at the cars. Yea, the colors and surroundings are enhanced, but really look at the details, interiors, springs, lights, grilles, wheels, etc and you'll see so much more detail, highlighting all the hardwork and passion that went into the build. You just don't see that in regular snapshots, most of the details are lost with bad light and shadows. That's the art in the build and the photograph.

Hey, if you want to create these effects for your own personal collection thats cool, but your creating something that just isn't there in the original picture, you are degrading the picture and the car, not enhancing it.

those pictures are like super sweet chocolate. one or two is OK, but if you eat the whole box they will make you puke.

  19. I like em' both ways, but then again I have been an artist my whole life. The special effects do bring out some details you would normally not see. I would like to have one done of my car and enlarge it up to poster size for garage art.
I don't get the "Not H.A.M.B. appropriate" comment, it's not like you posted hundreds, just a few for interest. They got my attention, Good Work!

Thanks guys, I appreciate everyone's feedback, good and bad, but especially good.

  22. I gotta go with some of the others on here. I like photos better than the fake looking faux paintings.

Yep, that stuff gives me a headache. I won't open a certain PNW photographer's posts on Hotrod hotline for the same reason.

Don't care for the special affects just like a clear pic.

  26. "degrading a picture" is drawing a mustache on a lady on a billboard, to me.

Although I like my pictures normal, with no added effects, I appreciate the fact that you took the time to take the pictures and post them. What I don't understand is some of the guys on here almost bashing you for your creative flare. There is a photographer on here that always posts his work of car shows on the Friday art show, and his work is always like yours. I never see anyone bashing his work, just praising it. Go figure. Thanks for taking the time to post your pictures.
