I spent the other morning shooting a private tether car collection (undoubtedly the world's largest) that is about to get packed up and sent to the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan. Supposedly they will be creating an entire special area just for it and possibly even be running cars! Could be amazing!

This is just a teaser of what I shot for an upcoming story in the Gazette. The collection consists of HUNDREDS of the rarest of the rare cars, original molds and vintage trophies.

    Technically a "rail" car.

The oldest known tether car. The wheels are jar lids!

    Cool stuff!

Eric Zausner's tether car collection is amazing! (and his MOAL-built Hot Rods aren't too shabby either!)

How long will this "SPINDIZZIES" exhibit be at the Henry Ford Museum?

Here's some more of Eric's "HAMB-friendly" tether cars:

permanent exhibit. He is donating it to them.

  9. I have never seen this collection. I did get to see several of them(not from this collection) run at a GG event in Puyallup a few years back. I had one when I was a kid many years ago. They are crazy fast. I wish I knew then what I do now, I would have some killer shit. Thanks for sharing them with us.
    Later,
    Dick

My Dad used to have a belly tanker style and a midget style car from back in the day, as well as a spare engine, the post the wire was mounted to and some of the teather wire and a few other odds and ends. I don't know if he still has them or if they have managed to "vanish", courtesy of his wife.

Yeah, but most cost as much or more than a real car.
