So picked up a 1963 f100 with the 223 3 speed in mid april as an early 23rd bday present for my self since i grew up around this trucks half my life i wanted to build one of my own and unfortunately i got a tight budget and not allot of space to dissemble here goes..
first thing i did was rip the old wood out of the bed and replace all the breake lines and breaks, the rear drums were shot. Also found out it already has front disc conversion done and got the frame sprayed and under cab
purchased some paint stripper from a local lowes for the bumpers, grill and dash bezel it worked great better than what anticipated thumbs up for lowes. i also purchased some high gloss anamel spray paint i went for the almond/off white in color and some primer sealer i prefer duplicolor in brand
next the interior sanded down i used a 600 grit sand almost down to the bare metal and also found a web site where they fill spray cans with water color code you give them, i went with the original color ragoon red https://carpaintonline.com//index.php couldnt stand seeing the yellow anymore i dont what they were thinking and i followed this sweeet DIYhttp://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=834823
Good for you! I'm also working on a 64 on on a shoestring budjet and limited ability. Keep posting pics.
