I know I'm off the photo subject but i have a chance to buy 2 stock holder share's off a friend that inherited them from her dad. Does anyone have an idea of what a fair price would be for them?

  2. For almost 50 years people have mixed me up with Dick Roberts. And I have always taken that as a compliment.

I hung around the Oriental Hot Rod Club garage in Reading, Mass and was a gopher for Dick when he was working on the Dragmaster car. He took me to the races when I was a kid and taught me how to think like a winner and showed me a lot of things that I have never forgotten.

We are not related but I think of Dick Roberts like family. Looking forward to seeing him at the big NHRA race at Epping in June.

That works pretty well, do you have more footage to show? That is Charlie Seigars' dueley pick up behind the Freedom Machine. I rode to Indy in that truck in 1974.

I have most of the old super 8 film converted to digital and am currently editing it and hope to post some as a movie soon, these are frame grabs from the DVD, not as clear as the moving footage

going back to New England Dragway tomorrow for the first time since the early '70s for the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion. Look for it next to the old Sanford Drags tower.

BUMP; What the heck happened New England Dragway has a New England Hot Rod Reunion and this old post gets no respect. Some of the cars that were there last weekend can be seen in this post as they were back in the day. Here's a pic of a LS6 Chevelle

Just found an old folder I had been given from the guy I bought my 62 Corvette from back in the eighties. These pictures were taken at NE Dragway, June 23, 1968. I’ll post more as I scan them to my computer( also have a ton of negatives from Sept 4th,1967 that I’ll take to have prints made so I can scan those too). Hopefully some of you guys will be able to fill in who’s car, driver etc. Some great old pictures.

Baron, Thanks for these great pictures, just what we needed to get this thread going again. In the first photo with the dragster...look along the tree line you can see the old Sanford timing trailer. This trailer was restored last year and is on display at the track across from the fuel shack.

Hey Church key ( Jack?) Great eyes spotting the trailer. For as long as I've been going to Connecticut and New England, I'll never know a quarter of the history or info you do about New England drag racing. You may remember me, I was the one pestering everyone about the video at the Hudson show last year ,the one at Conn. Dway showing the Beeline Willys and Bill Flynn vs. Tasca Ford, etc. Still haven't found the guy, lol! maybe this year, lol! Anyway Thanks for the info, and Thank You Baron, you're getting the blood going again to carry us through the winter!
