Oh yeah, of course. It's not done by any means. My plans for this summer are installing a dual master cylinder which means I'll have to make/buy/bend brake lines - something I've never done before. Then install seat belts and get the emergency brake functioning.

And if I find some extra money, I'll call Sid an order a 3" dropped axle and have him install new kingpins, a modify the drag link & steering arms:eek:

  23. Making and bending brake lines is really straight forward Dan. I went all out on the deuce with stainless tubing and AN fittings. No leaks and looks great.

hb32 - I really sorry for taking your thread off on a tangent. Your car is fantastic!

My old truck is not going to be any kind of show vehicle so I don't plan on using stainless brake lines - though I admit it appeals to my "shiny addiction" lol.

Do you mind my asking what flaring and bending tools you used? I'm gonna have to buy some so I may as well buy ones I know someone else has used and had goo results.

I know to make templates using straight wire and to make some a corner template with the bend start location marked. I just have to DO it.

  25. No problem Dan. Mine isn`t any show vehicle either but I went with the AN flares as they were easier then double automotive flares for me. Not sure if the cost was more in the long run as I bought a kit on ebay at a decent price.
I used a Rigid 37 degree flaring tool which worked as well for my fuel lines.
Bending tools were borrowed from a friend and were specific for tubing diameter, so no one bender fits all crap.
Really not that difficult and worth the effort.
