I thought I had a great idea and put Corvette chambered exhaust on my '39 Buick with a SBC and 2 1/2" exhaust from the Sanderson cast headers back. The car sounds like a truck, not like a Corvette with sidepipes and I would like to put Smitty's on for a better sound.
    Will I have a problem going from 2 1/2" pipes into 2" Smitty's and back to 2 1/2" tailpipes?

    Thanks

Shouldn't be an issue but they make 2.5" versions... they're "Smithy's" and you can get them rather cheap from Amazon believe it or not!

Do the 2 1/2" ones sound the same as the 2" Smithys?

Just run straight pipes, The Smithys will blow out most of the fiberglass after a year anyway.

Thought this was going to be another Hollywood Knights trivia thread.

  8. The bigger Smithy's are a little bit louder and deeper tone, But the tail pipe size will control most of that. If you want more of a rap out of them, go to smaller tail pipes.
