Hi, forum. I joined because a couple of other forums told another person this is a great place to go for advice and discussion on traditional hot-rods and customs. I'm looking at a 1949 Chrysler Windsor coupe available in my hometown and am exploring the directions to take it if I buy. The car is a semi-solid (some rust), otherwise-mostly-complete (one missing trim piece) roller after the current owner decided the original Spitfire Six was not rebuildable, junked it, and sent the Fluid Drive transmission to salvage too, figuring it was worthless without the engine. So I'm considering the many possibilities for powering this prospect should I take on the project. I'll use the search feature liberally to read prior threads. Meanwhile, anyone who has a stroke of genius on what would be their ideal way to go with this vehicle's driveline, feel free to share it!
welcome from MN check out the KKOA spectacular in Salina this summer and get some ideas what to do to you fine automobile
Thanks for the welcomes and the advice! I might already have a line on an affordable and rebuildable flathead, too, so I could maybe make this happen.
