What are peoples opinions on shaving the drip rails? I've seen it done, and I kinda dig it. shoebox1950 has his shaved, and it looks good!

This is one of the VERY few Shoeboxes with shaved rails that looks PERFECT. In my eye, shaved drip rails on a nice custom look like a beautiful woman without eyebrows. Rob nailed this one though!

On a chop like this, why not continue the flow of the roof all the way to the tail lights?

I'm not an expert on this by any stretch of the term, this is only my first chop, so I might be wrong about about this, but I think it would be so much more work, and it would just end up looking like a fastback.

I agree. In my opinion (which doesn't mean anything) losing the "dip" between the rear window and tulip area kills the character of the profile. Too many over-chopped cars lately, but this one's profile looks so clean!

LOVE THAT CHOP! They shouldn't even call it a radical chop anymore, it's more like "Chop or just don't even do it" lol.

I have a 47 Mercury sedan that I bought in 1967 and the backlite is just about worthless too.
