Trying to get a shop cleaned up for the party this weekend... While that's going on the Merc is headed to get the firewall painted.

I've considered it, but I'm going to use some modern cloth wiring from Sacramento vintage ford
I just can't seem to bring myself to wire in 6v

Thanks b4c. I really enjoyed having you down here. Always great to see ya.

NONAME, I haven't ever considered that. I know it would work, but I think 1 12v battery would look better than two 6volts.
    Thanks for the idea!

    Thanks guys.

Dude you are more the welcome to come check it out and hangout any time.
My buddy Porkchop told me about yours. He works up at ECR
(rcr's engine shop) and he pops in to
rod crafters from time to time.
    Definitely a great lookin car!

I can't look at this too long while I'm at work. Makes me "happy". Sweet work all around and I'm glad I get to see it every week, instead of only in pics. Now... Time to cower in your shadow n try to build something not too terrible...

    HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for building this car. Youre doing it absolutely perfect.

I cant wait till its done.... every thing is EXACTLY how I would do it.

I'm with Jeff, its suprising to see an actual traditional custom being built.

Absolutely outstanding man... this is the best era and style of Kustom.. by far.

  20. I'm surrounded by this fucker everyday while I'm finishing my own project. It is amazing. Period.

You guys are in for a treat with the next updates.

    Jerm is one talented MoFo!!

Yeah.. Jerm.. I'm having Merc withdrawals and BloodyKnuckles over here is teasing us all.

How could this car get any better? Is that even possible?

    Hey Jeremy James,

Haven't read all of the previous posts yet, but has anyone thought to let some of the legends like George Barris and Gene Winfield know about this build? They would be completely stoked!!

with the chome back and all my small dash and firewall parts back I can finally start to assemble the firewall and under dash parts.

I turned up a NOS dealer install heater kit for my mercury and have been itching to pull it out of the box! this box was dated 7-20-49 and my grubby hands were the first to open it!
