Wild ride for sure. The motor sounded really healthy. I too would like to know what happened. Great job at keeping it upright.

People wonder why they are so strict on their safety rules,,,,check the time till the emergency crew got to car.....We have to have an sfi-20 fire suit, now I know why!

Glad your OK Man The middle gauge on the left which I am assuming is oil pressure I can't read on my screen is pegging up real nice and then begins to drop, then nothing at all, and he continues to hammer on the motor for quite awhile . Love the video, great pucker factor glad you saved the car and more important yourself. Goodtimes from my birthplace.

He downshifted the car by mistake after the end of the run,the oil pressure was fine, I hate electric gauges.

He did a very good job of getting out of the car in an orderly fashion. Glad he's alright. Wayno

At the finish line; pull the chute follow then shut down procedures. Having to repack a chute is a small price to pay to help keep a vehicle straight (er)
    Great 'save/ride'.

  29. Yup, Ron mentioned this on landracing.com

So, if you ever wonder what would happen if your shifted at speed this is your answer! Glad he and the car are ok.

  30. HRP, I could not have said it better myself. Wow, what a ride. That flattie sounded very strong.
