Check out the tach reading on this stout flathead, not too many times I've heard a flathead shift at 7k.

Wild ride for sure. The motor sounded really healthy. I too would like to know what happened. Great job at keeping it upright.

Glad your OK Man The middle gauge on the left which I am assuming is oil pressure I can't read on my screen is pegging up real nice and then begins to drop, then nothing at all, and he continues to hammer on the motor for quite awhile . Love the video, great pucker factor glad you saved the car and more important yourself. Goodtimes from my birthplace.

I was google searching for ECTA results from the meet, not up yet but a link to the Studebaker Driver's Club showed the same YouTube link as HAMB with the added tag line "this is what happens when you inadvertantly shift into second at speed". Don't know if this is what happened but interesting conjecture.

That was a wild ride, glad it worked out ok. I can't believe I missed that event again. I'm pissed!

He downshifted the car by mistake after the end of the run,the oil pressure was fine, I hate electric gauges.

 

He did a very good job of getting out of the car in an orderly fashion. Glad he's alright. Wayno

 

At the finish line; pull the chute follow then shut down procedures. Having to repack a chute is a small price to pay to help keep a vehicle straight (er)
