So how much revs do my engine like? 350 030 bore 400 crank 010 downsize to smaljurnal 327 rods, ross piston with the dome taking out to flat topp,64cc arf heads. having 6000 rpm cut out now,but the cam like more rev,can i put it to 6500?or even more? Thanks
I deleted my original response since this has been edited to make corrections by OP. Where in Sweden are you? Lots of hot rod and custom car activity there.
i wouldn't go any higher than 5,000. Have you done any balancing/blueprinting? Are the rods stock? What type of Ross pistons etc?
Not sure what you mean by "cut out" but I think I'd cringe going over 6200 with that setup (assuming aftermarket 11/32" rod bolts). Maybe try a different cam and shoot for torque instead.
Not unless it was built and balanced for that rpm. It'll rev and go like hell till a skinny 327 rod breaks or a bearing spins.
How much valve spring seat pressure ? If you wanna wind it up, your gonna need strong springs that match your cam.... I like 110 for the street
Mustang6147 is asking the right questions... Your valves and springs need to be up to the task. Valve float will ruin your engine's life in a hurry. If you don't have all the specifics, the engine builder will know what the motor can handle—I'd ask it's creator.
