And stole all of the wheels in the "Wheel Container" among other things

Here is a list of the wheels stolen - if you could help by keeping an eye out for these on CL and other places, I'm going to post this on the Pirate board too. Please post around to your Hot Rod boards.

The Police and Scrap yards have been notified, I doubt they will end up there.

Me too. Can you all keep your eyes peeled at this summers swap meets? We'd really appreciated it!

  7. Very sorry to hear this. Probably someone who knew what was in there.

Post some reward posters in your area. It's worked for me in the past...

Sounds like meth head scrap thieves to me, they took all the aluminum and cast iron, my guess is if it turns up, it'll be at a scrap yard.

How many thieves are going to look at that kind of stuff and know it's valuable? Thieves steal flat panel TV's and gaming consoles and jewelry, shit like that.

I'd be way more focused on scrap dealers than eBay or swap meets. Sucks for sure, just saying, don't count out the scrap dealers, and don't assume they'll call you if it turns up, you have to hound that shit.

Some dipshit successfully scrapped the engine from a jet dragster a couple years ago, a lot of yards don't give a shit, unfortunately, and a lot of cops don't, either.

It's true - but hopefully the system will work and we'll get them. It's not about the money, it's the fact that it was stolen out of the shop and containers...IMHO it was an "inside" job.

    Thanks....I love that truck.

Again - it had to be someone who knew what was there...their choices were pretty "selective".

Thank you. I think if we can get some folks to just keep an eye out at scrap yards, CL and swap meets, we may be able to catch them.

Thanks so much to the H.A.M.B. fam...I appreciate you guys.

Sorry to hear about that. I saw most of the stuff on your list at the Arco Arena swap last Sunday. Don't know if it was your dad's, or not. The mag dragster wheels stick out in my mind. I clearly remember seeing those. I troll CL nightly and I'll keep an eye on it here in the Bay Area.

I have seen folks post stolen ads on craigslist, but what might be better is to keep a close watch and see if they show up! If you start posting ads saying they are stolen, the crooks will probably shy away from CL!

I'm betting it was scrap theves too. We had a small barns worth of vintage japanese tin we were saving way in the back of some property we own on the highway, they drove there trailer right through the yard into the back and loaded up all the tin, police told us they could file a report but said don't expect anything.

TTT - once we get everyone aware, we'll have a better chance of getting some of it back. I really want those Schultz blanks back, they were very valuable on more than one level.

  26. I'd be looking into this ^^^^ Maybe contact whoever puts on that swap for any leads on the sellers ????

Keep your eyes peeled in the Sacramento/Santa Rosa/ south to Santa Cruz area - we may have a lead on the person who may have had a hand in it...
