Final finished pics of the seat and interior as well as pictures of the Monticello Show.

All in all, I think the interior was a success. Not perfect but decent for my first shot at it.

Before I finished the seat, I made sure the top would still fit. Good shot of the girls and I. I can't imagine a family of 4 headed on a long journey back in the day. ;)

Nice lookin Kiddies you got there Vern! We should get together sometime soon and let the kids have a "Play Date" ;) While we have a "Play date" with tools!

    That being said...
Wishin you would have tossed the wife in there! You're not bad and all, but she's much better LOL!!

Back to the car, Thing turned out bad ass! Interior looks good! especially for the first one you've done! Congrats on the finish! Lastly, I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but i'd paint that top green, it'll draw all the attention away from the rest of the car if its white, but that's just my opinion.

Nice car and I impressed with your build. One question, how do find the steering handles using that little steering wheel? Thanks Larry

Larry, Thanks for the compliments. The steering is a bitch when pushing the car, stopped, or going very slowly. At speed it is easy as pie.

The car is lightweight and I'm a bigger guy so others results may vary.

    Hello everyone, I'm not dead!!

I haven't done much lately. I am now building new headers for the roadster. I always loved the look of lakes headers on a fendered car but you don't see them too often. The already made versions didn't fit the car (nor my taste). Hell, I made everything else, what's a set of headers, right?

They fit nice and tight. Should be just enough room so the paint doesn't blister.

  9. I love the GREEN. :D HRP

Also, modeled a pattern for the rear window in my top. Used the Model A Sedan as a template and "chopped" the window 3 7/8". Side by side for visual comparison.

Thanks, I figure the white undercarriage will just "pop" that much more.

Took this week off work to get the '32 ready for TorqueFest.

First order of business was to finish the wiring and install my headers. Check. I got all of that done between yesterday and this morning. So feeling good, I figured I'd get my dad's trailer to run the car to the DMV for inspection tomorrow.

Here's the car outside. I'm happy.

After a near mishap, I am breathing a little earlier.

So I was going to use the winch to get the car on the trailer. I had my wife running the controls and I was watching for anything dragging. I was behind the car when all of the sudden......SNAP!!!!!!

The car shoots off the trailer and my fat ass jumps out of the way. I ran next to the car to try and slow it down when I was faced with a split second dilema; how do I slow the car down?

This being a roadster is the ONLY thing that saved it!!! I jumped over the door and slammed the car in PARK. I know wnat it does mechanically, however, I didn't give a fuck.

I wasn't about to dig the car out of the ditch behind my house. All seems OK. Below is the winch. Broken Hardware. Luckily everything turned out OK.
