Event Coverage The 60th Anniversary Hot Rod Hill Climb

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Nicks Hot Rod Garage, Mar 14, 2013.

  1. Maybe just part of the hill would work for a soap box race?

That said as a Brit in CO I've only ever been to Georgetown once. So what do I know :)

I will be there! and would like to help, if I can. I will bring my '33 Ford Sedan. 59A, Merc crank, Isky cam, dual 97s.
I know Jim Nealson and I knew Jack Richards. I also belong to the Early Ford V8 Club and will begin spreadin' the word!
This should be a really great time!

Mike, it was good to see ya and the crew on Sat, I'll volunteer if you need course monitor, tech man, pancake flipper, whatever. Even if you didn't need that I'd still pay $10-20 for a spectator pass. (if pancakes were included haha) Nothin I have fits the bill but I'm still planning on being there to watch.

Props for all the effort you've put in thus far. T shirts and everything, man you are doing a hell of a job on this thing. I'm subscribed now and you got my number if ya need anything. Kev

Also, I (and many others) would LOVE to see that Wayne-headed Chevy 6 powering something up the hill!! Pay him to put er back together if ya have to.

We had a blast handing out flyers and selling some t-shirts for the Hotrod Hillclimb at the Roundup. We also met a ton of nice people. See you September 14th!!!!

    Barn Find,
I tried to reserve a room in Georgetown and of course they're gone. What's the next closest town that's a good spot to stay. Having never been to Colorado I don't have a clue.

Since I wont be driving a car to the event I'll be able to help out if you need it.

  16. No more rooms already??!! I better get my S together!

Hey guys try Idaho Springs its about 15 min. away

  19. Rooms are going to be limited, please don't panic yet. We have 3 hotels completely blocked, and we are working with several others.

There are hotels in Idaho Springs, I'll be talking with them early next week too.

We will be in Georgetown Wednesday and Thursday, look for an announcement Friday.

Thank you for your patience and support!

  20. Georgetown Mountain Inn is the Host hotel, Hill Climb participants will be given first chance here.

We are also working out trailer parking for those that have one.

  23. Hey Mike! Can you respond to my last post? My wife's uncle is here in Tucson this weekend. I will be seeing him and talking about this event. He's the kinda guy you want helping you out in the vintage bike aspect.-Dale
