This is really helping me out with my build.
Great work.

3. Sorted out the distributor this weekend.
I borrowed an old original Hemi distributor off Jer and I had an old mallory dissy from a SBC.

first job was to strip the mallory unit down and cut it to length

Next put it in the lathe and turn the diameter down.

then I made up an ally adapter and pressed it onto the dissy body.i then pressed the bronze bush back into the end of the body.

here they are side by side
[a href="http://s21.photobucket.com/user/kelvindunn/media/Hemi%20Coupe/distributor008.jpg.html"][/a]

Next job was to modify the drive shaft. First cut it to length
[a href="http://s21.photobucket.com/user/kelvindunn/media/Hemi%20Coupe/distributor013.jpg.html"][/a]

Then machine the flats on the end of the shaft. I don't have a mill so had to make do with the lathe.
[a href="http://s21.photobucket.com/user/kelvindunn/media/Hemi%20Coupe/distributor014.jpg.html"][/a]

Put it all back together and it fits a treat. The plan is to fit a petronix kit in it.
