    All of these pictures are probably from other Merc threads on the HAMB:

    I have no prob with unchopped mercs, but you gotta notice that when you slam them, you gotta chop or section everything in proprtion with the lowering. The top, skirts, etc. benefit from sectioning or lowering. Thats why a 4-5" chop at the A pillar looks about right. Otherwise, it looks like a bit high. Notice when a sled is closer to the ground the chop looks less severe or "hard"? Just look at slddmatts chops, or Oz Kustoms Bad Apple etc. Both the roof and skirts look taller when slammed....

    Pretty sure I'm not going to chop my 50 Merc. Nobody round here that could do the work anyways. I would have to send it back to the Left Coast, or up North to get a quality chop.

    This was last year's hot Rod hayride, very dark blue, sat perfect and completely made me rethink my views on chopping Mercurys;

    Here's my 50 merc in progress. I initially wanted to have it chopped, but knowing that it is unchopped adds to its rarity and has really grown on me.

    Nice Mercs!!! What's everyone's most common lowering set up? Aerostar springs and blocks? Matt what are you doing to lower them? I love their stance and they all seem to be around the same height.

  19. This is a progress photo of my 50 Merc. I went the Mustang II and air bag route for my stance. For me it was the ability to move my stance to suit my mood. I find that most days I like the tail dragger look.

    I love this car and the color. Does anyone know what this color is called and if it's a correct 49-51 Merc color?

    That looks like the correct 51 Merc colour, I sold one to California last year with original paint and it was that colour. Larry

    Don't know the color, but I like it also. That Merc was being sold on e....y last year. as I recall, asking was around mid-$40K. Extreme Kustoms did some work on it. I think the suspension.
