I have a 1961 348 Chevy with a small block aluminum bell housing bolted between the 348 and W/C-S10 5 speed. Will a small block Chevy starter bolt up the the 348 block? Does anybody know what year starter I should buy to bolt up to the 348? If I can't figure this out I will buy a 348 bell housing and pull it all back apart and start over. I inherited this set up when I traded for the car.

    Thanks again HAMB

I used an aftermarket scatter shield type steel bellhousing on a deuce pkg car I did for a customer and used a Power Master gear reduction starter. If I remember you have to use the staggered bolt pattern? Can't remember if I used the large or small flywheel????
