My Dad bought me my 1940 Ford for $50 in 1968. I was 18 at the time. The first photo was taken in the spring of 1973 with my one and only daughter.

Holy Cow! I've had my bucket since 1989, that's 24 years. It was built in 1969 so that makes the car 44 years old. I have to put it back together before it turns 45, don't I?

Had my '32 since July 1974. Brought it home in the back of my '63 Chevy pickup. I had just got married and didn't even have a garage. Built my 16 X 22 garage in 1977 and got started on the car and then moved in 1979. Finally got it finished and on the road in 1984. It's currently apart again for a major rebuild.

Here's my Hot Rod that my grandfather bought in 1966. He passed in 1968 (before I was born). So I guess you could say I've had this car my whole life (38 years).

Ive had my 34 Ford coupe since the late 70's, got it on the road in 85 I think. It has been to both coasts & many places in between. Never let me down but did create some interesting times on a couple trips. It only has 70 k on it and I plan to get many more in the future.

  20. I have owned this ex-D/G coupe for close to 30 years waaaay before the gassers were hip...

I got my 60 Falcon in 80 it had been in a barn from 63 it took me a year the first time to go thro it but I was working a full time job about 80 hr week so it don't give you much time. When I finished it I gave it to my oldest Son who drove it a while then Sold it to His younger Brother who drove it a while and Sold it to His younger Brother.I got the Car back about 6 to 8 years ago and I'm back fixing it again to give to my oldest Grandson He also has two Brothers so I'm sure the same will happen

Well, it really all depends on how you want to look at it, As my dad and I started planing and collecting parts for this truck since I was 9 years old (remember jimbob walton started out with a steering wheel) No matter what hot rod project Dad had or was driving at the time, Him and I Knew that one day We would build the Ultimite hot rod! Which in our eyes was This model A phone booth cab pickup. So through my eyes we have had this truck alot longer than it has been on the road. I grew up poor, And although my Dad had many cool hotrods most all of them got sold off to help "fund" Raising Me and my other 5 brothers and sisters. This truck Has been on the road for about 20 years now. And my Dad has drove the hell out of it. It is part of our family, And to me represents the garage time My Dad and I spent together.
