People have mentioned the original Death Race 2000 cars, I think most of them, especially the Frankenstein car, were customized versions of Dick Deans Shalo-Vette fun buggy. Incidentally, you should Google some of the cars built for the "new" Mad Max movie to come out next year, one of which is like a Hearse/monster truck Ol Skool ride!!

 

Repo Man is being re-released in Hi-Def, which is worth it for the sound track alone.

Check out "Redline 7000". Lots of cool rides in that flick. My vote is the Shelby Daytona that was supposed to be the daily driver of one of the stars, Halibrand knockoffs and all. Crazy.

George Lucas (the greatest story teller of our generation) used a Black '55 Chevy as the primary villain car in AG just a few scant years before the Star Wars saga introduced the most famous movie villain of all time . . . Darth Vader. When I watch Star Wars, I visualize Darth Vader as a walking, talking, evil, black '55 Chevy.
